Book sizes

First Edition Publications can print your publication in a variety of formats and sizes. The most popular sizes for commercial and private publication are as follows.

Novel 6” x 9”
8.5” x 11”
Landscape 9” x 7”
Square 7.5”x 7.5”
Royal 6.14″ x 9.21″
Crown Quarto 7.44″ x 9.68″
A4 8.27″ x 11.69″

Please note that there will always be a different minimum number of pages for each of the above book sizes and that the total number of pages will always be a multiple of four.

We can also supply our “authors to be” with a variety of templates for each of these formats in Microsoft Word – these templates are already preset with guttering margins (these are different for left hand pages and right hand pages) which allow for binding. Text can be input directly into these templates – you can also copy and paste directly into these templates.
